ABOUT ME
I am a mother of 4 wonderful kids. I love the Australian bush and would choose a secluded luxury mountain retreat over a crowded beachfront penthouse. However, I would prefer to swim than go for a run. I love to read and my favourite book is Gone with the Wind. But I am also addicted to the t.v. and must record my weekly shows.
Most people know me to be serious, well-organised and capable, but I am also sensitive, funny and loyal. I am a morning person, but my favourite time of day is dusk. I think the glass is half full. I would choose black over white, the moon over the sun, jeans over a skirt and lemonade over coke.
I love discussing life and family gossip with my mum over a cup of tea. My sister always knows how to make me feel better and my husband is my best friend. I love to read books to my kids before bedtime. I get excited by my kids’ milestones (a first tooth, their first word, their first ballet class) and I try to take deep breaths during their tantrums. My family means everything to me.
MY JOURNEY INTO NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
I have always LOVED taking photographs. Interestingly, I never thought of myself as being that ‘creative’. From High School, I followed a pathway that lead me to university to study law. I worked as a lawyer for a long time (and still teach law at the University of Sydney as a Visiting Faculty Member). But after falling pregnant with my second child, my passion and drive changed. I wanted to get up each morning and LOVE what I did for work. If I was going to be ‘away’ from my kids, then I wanted to feel like I was ‘doing good’ and helping to make someone else’s life just a little bit happier.
I found my way back to photography through capturing photos of my own children. In 2011, I opened up my newborn photography studio, and have never looked back.

Your children will grow up in a split second and your life will become flashing moments of giggly smiles, wobbly teeth, scraped knees, ballerina twirls, spelling words, ….. and before you know it, you will be helping them with algebra, nursing their broken hearts and watching them graduate high school. It is my ultimate privilege to capture the moment when your child’s life journey begins.
I am one of the most experienced newborn photographers in Australia. I have been invited to speak at newborn photography conferences in Australia and around the world. Since 2015, I have also dedicated myself to training other newborn photographers to ensure safety and professional consistency across the newborn photography industry. I am the Founder of the Sydney Newborn Photographers Network – which provides support and education to newborn photographers across Sydney. I have been voted as a Finalist in the 2020, 2019 and 2015 Local Business Awards. I have been nominated as one of Sydney's Top Newborn Photographers by Shutterturf in 2021.
