When is the best time to conduct a baby photography session?

All the time! My baby photography sessions are designed for baby’s between 5 months and 12 months of age (but of course we can photograph your baby if they are older than 12 months!). Older siblings, family members and Grandparents are welcome too. Each age marks a different milestone for your baby’s first year and captures a special moment in time – when your baby can hold their head up, when your baby can sit-up, when they start crawling and their 1st birthday. You can see some photos below of what style of images we can capture at each milestone.

When should we book-in for our photography session?

I suggest waiting until your baby can hold their head up and look up at you and smile – which is from around the age of 5 months onwards. It is best to contact me a few weeks before the date you are hoping to have your shoot (particularly if it is for a 1st birthday cake Smash and Splash shoot) – that way I can make sure to fit you in and we can have time to chat about creating your ideal photo shoot.

Where are you located?

My photo studio is located in Castle Cove (just east of Chatswood on Sydney’s North Shore) – it is fully set up for both the photo session and also for your comfort – with a baby changing table and baby feeding area and bathroom and kitchenette facilities. There is plenty of free and unlimited parking right at the front of my studio. There is also a playground right next door to my studio, which is great for entertaining older kids!

Do we get to select the colours and styling for our photography session?

Yes, absolutely! Each session is styled to match YOUR taste - we will discuss your preferences for colours, props and poses so that you absolutely love the images from your session.

Do you take family photos during the baby photography shoot?

Absolutely! Photos with mum, dad, and siblings are SUPER important. All of my photography sessions include taking the full range of family photos.

Do you offer digital files?
