Sydney Newborn Photography | Mia’s Photo session

It was my absolute pleasure to photograph gorgeous baby Mia – she has the prettiest little features and perfect ivory skin. She was so calm and happy, snuggled in her mum’s arms.  Taking parent photos are my favourite – it is amazing to see how tiny and curled up newborn babies are! Mia will grow so fast, but her parents will be able to look back on these images and remember the time when she fit perfectly in their hands. I love capturing this moment and knowing that parents will have these photographs to treasure forever.

Sydney Newborn Photography – Workshops – Studio Lighting

Gorgeous baby Gabriella was our second little model of the day at the Newborn Photography Workshop held in Sydney, Chatswood.  I am so glad that we were able to use some cute little outfits and headbands – I love using all of these sweet little girly accessories.  So happy and content, she slept through all the poses, until the end – when she opened her eyes and gave me huge smiles!  She is one sweet baby girl and her dazzling smile lights up the room. I could not decide which ‘smiley’ photo I liked best, so I have shared them all here.  I have the best job in the whole world – and I think Gabriella agrees!  I am so thankful to her parents for bringing Gabriella along to the workshop. Sydney Newborn Photography Workshops – Studio Lighting – Award-Winning Newborn Photographer, Rebecca Connolly Photography

Cute little Magdalena was our first model of the day at the Sydney Newborn Photography Workshop held in Chatswood.  Magdalena was also our youngest model – at only 7 days of age – and 4.5kgs!  She is totally adorable with her chubby cheeks, perfect skin and gorgeous red-gold hair.  Without a doubt, her favourite pose of the day was on her tummy all curled in and snuggled –  she was so content!  Thank you so much to Magdalena and her parents for making the journey to my studio for the workshop – it was my absolute pleasure to take newborn photographs for you to keep and treasure as Magdalena grows up. Sydney Newborn Photography – Workshops – Studio Lighting

Gorgeous baby Fiona was our last little model of the day at the Newborn Photography Workshop held in Sydney, Chatswood.  She was so tiny at only 2.95kg at birth – and she loved to curl up all snuggled.  After starting her session awake, she drifted off to sleep and was the perfect model. I am so glad that we were able to use some cute little outfits and headbands for Fiona – she did not mind the outfit changes! Fiona has the most gorgeous skin and perfect little features – it was so much fun selecting different colours to suit her.  I am so thankful to her mum from bringing Fiona along on the day and sharing her with us. I have the best job in the world, getting to meet and cuddle with all of these gorgeous newborn babies. I hope you enjoy browsing these photos of pretty baby Fiona. It is impossible to decide which image is my favourite – I love them all!

Behind-the-scenes from Rebecca Connolly’s small group Sydney newborn photography workshop class on 19 July 2015. The Class worked through each stage of the newborn photography shoot, including set-up, soothing, posing transitions, prop selection, styling and post-processing.

I LOVE to teach – I really do! It is a passion of mine.  I share all of my knowledge, skills, tips and tricks to help my attendees take their newborn photography business to the next level. I open up my studio, my business and my heart to my students.

Studio lighting was most certainly thoroughly covered, including fill light and reflectors which were my major concerns. I also didn’t expect to learn as much about the marketing/pricing side, which in my side of the photography industry there is little information, let alone discussion between photographers. This certainly gave me confidence in my pricing structures and the market I aim towards.
