Maternity Photography Sydney

I love offering my clients maternity photography sessions – to capture this moment in time for them as they experience the amazing journey of carrying their unborn baby.  It is even more rewarding when it is their second pregnancy – you now know how fast the pregnancy period flies by and that you will not quite remember what it felt like. Often my clients that book for a maternity photography session did not have photos taken the first time round – and I am so happy to capture their second or third pregnancy.  Maternity photo sessions are designed to show you just how beautiful you are – the lighting, outfits and poses are carefully selected to show off your gorgeous belly and to flatter your pregnant shape – you will feel pampered and relaxed.  It is an experience you will remember in years to come and you will have photos that you love and cherish.

This is Anja and it is her second pregnancy. I find it amazing that, prior to this session, this stunningly beautiful woman thought she was not photogenic! Anja is definitely photogenic – she looks elegant and beautiful.  Anja is wearing one of my favourite maternity dresses (I have a number of outfits available for use during your pregnancy photo shoot) – this white dress is timeless with a hint of vintage lace.  I love to give clients images that they will still love in twenty years time.  It was my absolute pleasure to photograph Anja and I am grateful that she placed her trust in me to take these pregnancy photos for her.

Sydney Maternity Photography

I love taking maternity photographs for my clients – to capture this amazing time for my clients in their journey to becoming parents.  It is even more rewarding when the mother-to-be is expecting twins! Maternity Photography Sessions are an experience – you get to step outside your normal day-to-day wear, do up your hair and your make-up and take time out just for yourself.  My aim is to make the experience of being photographed one you will enjoy and remember in years to come.

This is Rebecca – 31 weeks pregnant with twin girls.  She looks so beautiful and glowing.  I love to photograph maternity sessions  in all-white tones – it is simple, elegant and timeless.  I want my clients to look back on these images in twenty years and still love them. I know that her little girls will look at these images and marvel that they both fit inside their mother’s tummy.  I am so grateful that Rebecca trusted me to capture these maternity photos for her. I cannot wait to hear the announcement that her little girls have arrived safely in the world.

I love taking maternity photographs for my clients – it is rewarding to be a part of documenting their journey to motherhood.  It is an amazing experience for an expecting mother to take the time out of the normal every day, to stop and ‘glamour’ yourself up and to step into a studio where you are made to feel and look beautiful and where the miracle of your ever-growing belly is celebrated. Although it does not feel like it at the time, your pregnancy goes so quickly and in years to come, it is a distant memory. My passion and my gift to my clients is to capture this moment, so that they can cherish it forever.

This is Louisa – 31 weeks pregnant with twins.  She informed me that having maternity photos taken was totally outside of her comfort zone, being naturally shy. However, she wanted to capture the moment (particularly as she did not have photos taken of the pregnancies with her other two children). I am so grateful that Louisa trusted me to take her maternity photos. After seeing a sneak peek photo, Louisa sent me this lovely message:

“I am still so shocked at the image you sent me. I have always hated photos of myself yet this one has made me so happy!”

Louisa is absolutely stunning. I cannot wait to meet her twins when they arrive!

Sydney Newborn Photography Workshops – Studio Lighting – Award-Winning Newborn Photographer, Rebecca Connolly Photography

Behind-the-scenes from Rebecca Connolly’s small group newborn photography workshop class on 1 June 2015. The Class worked through each stage of the newborn photography shoot, including set-up, soothing, posing transitions, prop selection, styling and post-processing.

I LOVE to teach – I really do! It is a passion of mine.  I share all of my knowledge, skills, tips and tricks to help my attendees take their newborn photography business to the next level. I open up my studio, my business and my heart to my students.

Studio lighting was most certainly thoroughly covered, including fill light and reflectors which were my major concerns.
