When is the best time to have a Maternity Photography Session?

Around 30-34 weeks is a good rule of thumb. All pregnancies are different, some women might have a large bump at six months, others are barely noticeable at nine months. Generally, as long as you feel your bump is nice and round is the perfect time to have your pregnancy photoshoot.

How long do the sessions last?

Maternity photography sessions at my studio take around 1 hour - all depends on the style of images you would like me to capture for you. Outdoor sessions are a little shorter at around 45 minutes as we are racing to capture the soft light of the sun (at either sunset or sunrise).

What do I wear?

You are welcome to bring any clothing you might want to use in your session

I have a selection of dresses and gowns that you can wear on the day. Add to this a huge variety of fabrics and drapes in many colours for you to choose from. I am here to help and advise you on what will compliment your body shape the best and ensure you look your absolute best in all your maternity portraits.

Where do you do the Maternity Sessions?

You have the option to have an Outdoor maternity session (either a beach shoot or a country/grass fields shoot) OR an Indoor Studio session. The studio maternity photo sessions are held in my North Shore Photography Studio located in Castle Cove.

What Packages do you offer?

I have a wide-range of packages available allowing us to tailor the package to suit your needs and budget. Some clients like to book in for their Maternity Session as well as their Newborn Photography Session at the same time.

Digital file are available in all Packages.

I would love a Video as well as Images - do you offer that?

Absolutely! We work with EvaLea Productions and offer packages that include a Memento video for our maternity clients (you can see some clips from client videos filmed by Eva in our maternity videos on this page).
